This is what I like to see, waste converted to energy,albeit,there must be a negative environmental impact in the equation to justify the means,

I did the math once, and it worked out that turning all our landfill waste (currently a carbon sink) into energy would increase our carbon footprint by something on the order of 10%. However if it reduces methane escape and miles driven by garbage trucks, it's probably not all that bad.

What happens when you charge the whey with 12 volts of electricity? What is the chemical property of the gas immitted?
