Subaru to Start Prototype Production of R1e

Subaru_r1eTokyo Electric Power Co. (TEPCO) has procured 10 Subaru R1e electric vehicles. The vehicle is equipped with lithium-ion batteries and has a range of 80 kilometers (50 miles).  TEPCO has plans to acquire 3000 electric vehicles over the next 6 years.
