Welcome to the Energy Blog

  • The Energy Blog is where all topics relating to The Energy Revolution are presented. Increasingly, expensive oil, coal and global warming are causing an energy revolution by requiring fossil fuels to be supplemented by alternative energy sources and by requiring changes in lifestyle. Interesting stuff - James...

I'm interested in Pfzier selling the site to them... and it being reused in this way.

No objections whatsoever.

Is Pfzier getting anything out of this other than the site buy out?

Is Pfzier struggling in the US or something?

Good to see the chemical industry instead of closing down - IS REFOCUSING EFFORTS... (from specialities/pharmaceuticals ---> to next generation commodities / fuels)

well thats my opinion...

working in commodities sector... (well whole range of chemistries but prefer commodities)...

But of course, ethanol, even cellulosic ethanol, will do little to offset our dependence on petroleum.

Only a massive American lifestyle change can do that.

Yes already read it...

My opinion - jury is still out - and will remain out for quite some time ...

Doesn't mean we shouldn't expand the benefits of the technologies - to reduce Carbon emissions / crude-oil dependences does it?

I keep saying:

ENERGY SECURITY WILL ONLY COME THROUGH DIVERSIFICATION... NOT CENTRALISATION.

Also - with these technologies - WE'RE ADDING TO THE GREEN CHEMICAL TOOLKIT.

So roll on the Biorefinery revolution!

Coupled with a MORE EFFICIENT American / European (I'm in the UK) / Asian / African and Australisain LIFESTYLE CHANGE ...

The more I read about SunOpta the more I like it. By the way, I came across this great site that outlines the key players in the cellulose ethanol industry: www.investInCelluloseEthanol.com
